Digibit Review

Digibit was established in 2015. Their software is compatible with most popular operating systems.

I have used this on Android and an Amazon 4K Firestick.

The App is very basic, there is not an option to select the best location so you just have to choose a location to connect to. You are able to select servers as favourites.

Extra options in the App are as follows:

Use TCP – Allows you to switch the connection type from UDP to TCP.

Auto Connect – This allows you to select auto connect when on Wifi And/Or Mobile network

Something to remember when you signup is that your VPN login details are not the details you use to sign up to Digibit Design, You will be emailed separate credentials once you order the server. The app was not very helpful in alerting me to this!

Digibit’s user limit is 6 simultaneous devices per account.

I got the following results of a speedtest on a 100MB Fibre connection.

Single Connection Mode – Best for testing over VPN or simulating a single file download

Without VPN – Ping 16ms / Downspeed 24.2 Mbps / Upspeed 5.85 Mbps

With VPN – Ping 20ms / Downspeed 21.37 Mbps / Upspeed 4.73 Mbps

Multi Connection mode – used to show your maximum potential speed by using multiple downloads in parallel

Without VPN – Ping 15ms / Downspeed 27.38 Mbps / Upspeed 5.74 Mbps

With VPN – Ping 19ms / Downspeed 26.18 Mbps / Upspeed 5.31 Mbps

The big consideration for Digibit is that you can pay monthly, you are not required to pay for 1/2 years at the outset, Pricing is a moderate £2.50 per month so is a bit more expensive then some of the other suppliers but you have the ability to cancel one month to the next.

Click HERE to go to their website, whilst browsing you may get offered a code for 20% off, that takes it down to £2 a month, the latest code is STREAMVPN.
